Earn While You Learn with SYEP

Are you between the ages of 14 and 24 and looking for a summer job? Applications are now being accepted for the Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP), the country’s largest youth employment program, which connects New Yorkers with career exploration opportunities and paid work experience every summer.

NYCHA youth are encouraged to apply today! Click here to apply online. The application closes on Friday, April 26, 2019.

SYEP Spots Are Reserved for NYCHA Residents from Specific Developments

As part of the Mayor’s Action Plan for Neighborhood Safety (MAP), 14- to 24-year-old residents from 15 developments are guaranteed summer work assignments through SYEP. These developments are: Boulevard, Brownsville, Butler, Bushwick, Castle Hill, Ingersoll, Patterson, Polo Grounds Towers, Queensbridge, Red Hook, Saint Nicholas, Stapleton, Tompkins, Van Dyke, and Wagner Houses.

Through a new program called SYEP for NYCHA, spots will also be reserved for residents from Bronx River, Throggs Neck, Breukelen, Baruch and Baruch Addition, King Towers, Ravenswood, and West Brighton Houses.
