Complete Your Annual Forms!

NYCHA residents: You should be receiving two forms in the mail related to the Authority’s work to protect children. The first notice addresses potential lead paint hazards and window guards; the second notice is about stove knob covers.

Residents’ health and safety is NYCHA’s top priority, and we are prioritizing inspections for potential lead paint hazards in apartments where a child under the age of 6 lives or routinely visits. We install window guards in all apartment windows where a child 10 years of age or younger lives, or when requested by the resident (even if no children live in the apartment). We also provide knob covers for stoves in apartments where a child under 6 years of age lives, or when the resident requests them (even if no children live in the apartment).

Please complete and submit the forms by February 15, 2020, even if children don’t live in or visit your apartment. If you have any questions, please contact your property management office. Thank you for your cooperation with this important matter!
