Willie Colon Gives Thanks

Thanksgiving dinners, courtesy of the New York Jets

Former New York Jets player Willie Colon returned home to his Melrose Houses neighborhood for his annual turkeys and toys giveaway. Mr. Colon, with current and former New York Jets’ players, gave out more than 150 turkeys at the BronxWorks Classic Center on November 22. The event included breakfast served by Mr. Colon’s family, a live DJ, and a raffle with prizes. Mr. Colon is proud to host this annual event for his community because, he says, he owes his success to the nurturing and supportive people of the South Bronx.
